1.3. Client’s complaint — Referral to Racing and Wagering Commission
You may consider referring the complaint to the Racing and Wagering Commission of the Northern Territory If your complaint relates to:
(i) lawful betting;
(ii) a sporting event (other than a horse race, trotting race or greyhound race) may not have been fairly or lawfully conducted or for any other reason the result of the event, either generally or in relation to a particular bet or class of bets, is not what would be legitimately expected if all steps in the proceedings of the event or the declaration of its result were honestly and fairly conducted or declared.
Please go to Racing and Wagering Commission webpage Complain about a sports bookmaker or betting exchange operator and use the wagering complaint form.
1.4. Client’s complaint — Referral to Racing and Wagering Commission
Bet Right may consider that it would be more appropriate for a complaint to be investigated and heard by the Racing and Wagering Commission of the Northern Territory and refer the complaint to the Commission, ie complaints such as the following:
(i) a complaint relating to lawful betting;
(ii) a complaint relating to a sporting event (other than a horse race, trotting race or greyhound race) may not have been fairly or lawfully conducted or for any other reason the result of the event, either generally or in relation to a particular bet or class of bets, is not what would be legitimately expected if all steps in the proceedings of the event or the declaration of its result were honestly and fairly conducted or declared.
1.5. Client’s complaint — Alternative
If you have a complaint in relation to moneys payable on a winning lawful bet, you may consider taking legal proceedings for the recovery of such moneys.
